Play
A familiar game format creates energy, participation and just enough pressure.
The gap is rarely a lack of potential. It is the distance between knowing something and communicating it in a room full of pressure, personalities and competing priorities.
PHAKAMA! closes that gap through active practice, not another day of slides, theory and polite nodding.
A fast-moving, facilitated experience where play lowers the stakes, practice raises the standard, and feedback turns insight into a skill people can use at work.
A familiar game format creates energy, participation and just enough pressure.
Prompts turn quick thinking into purposeful, audience-aware communication.
Guided feedback makes strengths visible and turns moments into learning.
Another round creates an immediate chance to adapt, improve and own the change.
Designed around observable workplace behaviour, not abstract inspiration.
Structure the message before the message gets lost.
Contribute with conviction without becoming someone else.
Read the room, respond to what was said, and build dialogue.
Reduce avoidable back-and-forth by making meaning clear.
Our workplaces are multilingual, culturally layered and unequal in who gets heard. PHAKAMA! creates a practical space where different voices can develop without prescribing one “correct” way to sound.
Choose a team and the communication moment that matters most. We will turn it into a focused starting brief for a pilot conversation.
Focus on speaking up through low-risk repetition and practical feedback.
Potential should not stay hidden behind hesitation.
PHAKAMA! Communication Labs was co-founded in Cape Town by Taariq Amod and Sifiso Ndovela, drawing on commercial experience, business education and a deep interest in how people find their voice at work. The concept has been shaped through early testing with emerging professionals and employer input.
